Early Spark (1970s-1980's):

His journey began in the electrifying realm of music, leading his band, The Europeans, to London in pursuit of a recording career. This early immersion in the creative world would fuel his lifelong passion for pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo.

Building Empires (1980's-2000's):

  • Syco Systems (1983-Present): Jonathan quickly made waves in the music industry, becoming sales director at Syco Systems and propelling its sales by 300%. This laid the foundation for his exceptional ability to identify and capitalize on emerging markets.
  • MCMXCIX/TSC (1987-2010): Recognizing the burgeoning demand for synthesizers, he established TSC,becoming the UK's dominant retailer of music equipment during the 1980s and 90s. This early venture showcased his entrepreneurial acumen and adaptability to changing trends.
  • Computer Warehouse (1987-2010): Spotting the potential of personal computers, Jonathan founded Computer Warehouse, transforming it into the UK's largest Apple reseller. This demonstrated his foresight and ability to capitalize on technological advancements.

Fintech Foresight (2000s-Present):

  • BWEBB (1999): Pioneering in the web video market, Jonathan established BWEBB, an early forerunner of YouTube, even developing software for micropayment video views. This laid the groundwork for his later success in online transactions.
  • Metacharge (2000-2006): A true fintech visionary, Jonathan served as Chairman of the Board, guiding Metacharge to become one of the first real-time online payment processors. This leadership ultimately led to its successful acquisition by Paypoint PLC for a staggering £8.4 million.
  • PAY4LATER LIMITED T/A DEKO (2010-2019): Building on his fintech expertise, Jonathan chaired the board of Deko, becoming a leading provider of online finance solutions with over 500 retail clients. Under his leadership,Deko thrived before its acquisition by NewGen, solidifying his position as a major player in shaping the landscape of online payments.

Continuous Evolution (2000's-Present):

  • Non-Executive Director of Coms Plc (2005-2007): Leveraging his business acumen, Jonathan played a key role in guiding Coms Plc, a leading VoIP provider, to a successful listing on the London Aim market. This demonstrated his ability to contribute strategic insights and lead high-performing teams.
  • Bike Republic Ltd/Velorution (2009-Present): Recognizing the shift towards eco-conscious transportation, Jonathan transformed Bike Republic from a small E-Bike retailer into London's leading premium urban bike and electric lifestyle cycling destination. This involved a bold strategic move in 2012, acquiring the Velorution brand and establishing the first brick-and-mortar store in Great Portland St. This expansion, coupled with Jonathan's leadership, saw Bike Republic multiply its revenue and establish itself as a dominant force in the urban cycling market. He also embraced innovative funding strategies, utilizing crowdfunding platforms to fuel Bike Republic's growth and engage directly with passionate cycling enthusiasts.
  • Kranium Design (2011-2014): Demonstrating his unwavering commitment to safety and design, Jonathan co-founded Kranium Design, developing a revolutionary helmet technology that set new standards for impact protection. This highlighted his ability to translate creativity into tangible solutions that improve lives.
